Hale Kea, the White House

Friday was to be our "free" day but we couldn't resist the chance to go to the White House. We had scheduled a tour of the White House Kitchen Garden as well as speak with a representative of the First Lady's Let's Move initiative.  Unfortunately, the rainy weather squelched our garden visit but we could see it from a distance.

It was a thrill just to be inside the Eisenhower building (east wing). Its architecture is beautiful and it has much history!
